Paper Alternatives

As an artis, I have unfortunately used far too much paper during my sketches in the past, but I have to practice my skills somehow, don't I?

With this approach, I started looking for alternatives. The iPad Pro 12.9” from Apple turned out to be my absolute favorite.

The size is similar to a Din A4 sheet and there are many great apps that allow you to paint as intuitively as on paper. The appearance can be changed with just a few clicks and if I don't like it, there's always the "undo" option.

Since I've been using the iPad Pro, I've saved a lot of paper. However, I won't tell you exactly how much that is until the end of the year.

In the meantime, I will always leave a few tips on how to save paper here and on my social media channels and I would of course be happy if you would join in. Even something as small as writing down your shopping list on your cell phone saves a lot of paper, believe me!

MY PAPER CONSUMPTION

[MID-SEPTEMBER 2020]

In the beginning, strangely enough, I automatically reached for paper a lot and sometimes even with the Apple iPad in my hand - simply because it was still in my head. I now know in my sleep where I can find my notes app and where I can create my sketches on the iPad Pro 12.9".

Since mid-January I have used 47 sticky notes and 0 sheets for sketches. In contrast, 302 notes and sketches have already accumulated on the iPad Pro since mid-January, which can be found in various apps - and the cool thing is, I can easily move the notes and sketches there on the iPad if necessary Wherever I need them, be it an email or another editing program, and the notes etc. can also be easily copied to other devices.
